The church decorations were simpler this year
Sunday, March 2, was the flag ceremony. Youth carried the flags of all 12 nations where we support missionaries
to the front of the church while the missionaries' pictures were shown on the big screen.
Wednesday evening was the "kick-off dinner" followed by an introduction of our missionary speakers
and a stirring message by Canadian Director of BWM, David Canedy.
Saturday was apparently "eating day". In the morning was the Men's Breakfast with missionaries
and at noon the ladies' had a luncheon with missionaries.
The youth enjoyed pizza with the missionaries.
Ministry reports were eye-opening and messages inspiring.
Many members took advantage of opportunities to talk with the missionaries at their information stands
before and after services.
At the conclusion of our conference, the missionary guests were called to the
front of the sanctuary. The pastors and deacons represented the congregation in
prayer, asking God's blessing on their ministries and for protection on the long
The 57th was one of the nicest conferences many of us could recollect!
